Cincinnati Bearcats back to #5 in BCS and other news....

Thank goodness the Bearcats are back at #5 in the BCS polls and #4 in the AP! With the USC loss and the Alabaman bye week. It really has boosted the Bearcats back up in the rankings....WHERE THEY BELONG!!

    PISCATAWAY, NJ - SEPTEMBER 07: Tony Pike #15 ...I

Seriously, the Bearcats are being criticized with a soft schedule by many! Many reporters do not think they will have a chance at the BCS Title game either. Though because of the BCS (Bull Crap System) I do not believe they will be in the Title game either but they should if they win out!!

They have wins over Oregon State (who has beat UCLA, a small loss to USC) #21 South Florida (who has beat Florida St. and West Virginia). With a win against Pittsburgh at the end of the year the Bearcats in our minds should have done enough to warrant that Title shot!

Brian Kelly is winning and winning with different quarterbacks and against formidable talent!

    GO BEARCATS!!!

Cliff Lee takes on Yankees again....

    Chase UtleyI

Cliff Lee, formerly known as one of those ex-Cleveland pitchers, took on the Yankees again in game 5 last night of the World Series. Though not as perfect as he was in Game 1, Lee took down the Yanks bats through a little over 7 innings. Chase Utley added some big boom with a 3 run homer for some run support and added another homer late in the game. The Phillies have pulled the series to 3-2 and head back to New York for Game 6. Pedro Martinez will take the mound for the Phillies and the Yanks will rely on Andy Petitte to pull of the series winner!

Who you got? Yankees in Game 6, 7? Or will the Phillies do the unthinkable and win two straight??

UC #5 in BCS..who is Ohio State?

CINCINNATI, OH - NOVEMBER 29: Head coach Brian...Image by Getty Images via Daylife
The University of Cincinnati is #5 in the first edition of the BCS polls.  What a great honor from excellent coaching and excellent play.  The Bearcats have outplayed each opponent that I have watched and deserve every bit of national recognition they are getting.

Ohio now has a new face in college football.  And on ESPN First take Kelly was asked about a Ohio bout between Cincinnati and Ohio State.  He said on the show that they are working on a deal that would pit them against each other in 2012.  Kelly went on to say that they wanted to play Ohio State with them coming in and basically having a reason to win.  Well, Mr. Kelly it looks as if in a few years you will get that chance.

UC plays Lousiville this weekend in what most are going to call a scrimmage for the Bearcats.  But Kelly was on Pure Rock 96.5 yesterday morning talking about the fact that Louisville has some weapons and if they are not on their game it could be a rough one.

Brian Kelly has proved to be a class act coach and many speculate this will leap frog him to a bigger BCS school eventually.  Though, Kelly has admitted that he and his family love Cincinnati and that they are happy here doesn't really mean a hill of beans.  See John Calipari jumping to Kentucky.

Anyhow, we will take Kelly and this unbelievable program he is built and cheer them all the way to the finish!!
